Festive Front Porch

21 December 2010 2 Comments

The last holiday decorating To-Do I had was the exterior of the house.  We live in a townhome and don’t spend much time on the front porch because there just isn’t enough privacy – so sprucing it up took a back seat to our interior space.  However, in years past I had completely neglected outside all together.  I vowed this year to show the street some Christmas cheer!

So,  a beautiful snow covered trip to the cottage gave Andrew and I the opportunity  to cut down a few Christmas Trees to transform our cold and cheerless entry way.  The best part?  It was fast, easy, cheap and no ladder was required.

I simply placed the trees into pots I had laying around the garage, strung the big one with lights and decorated with plastic ornaments that I picked up at our local hardware store.  I also spray painted a few branches with to act as a backer for the little guy.

Take a look!

Bauer thinks it’s charming too!

Doesn’t he look regal?

How have you guys decorated your exteriors?  Quick?  Easy? Cheap?  None or all of the above?

Do tell!
