A Single Easter Decoration

5 April 2012 11 Comments

I love Christmas.  I really do.  And even though we don’t have kids I like to get in the spirit, go overboard on decorations and watch Christmas themed movies beginning in September.  I don’t feel that way about any other holiday.  In case you didn’t notice – I didn’t put a single decoration up for St. Patty’s day.  Nor did I mention it on here once.  In fact, I had to send my sister at text to find out if it was St. Patty’s day – it was.  The only other holiday I like to get in to is Thanksgiving.  Easter, Valentines, St. Patty’s – not really my thing.  However, my Mom brought some Easter jelly beans over this weekend and since we’ve all eaten way more than we should have, I decided to use the rest as a little pop of Easter décor.  I have to say the touch of colour is very cheerful.  Here is my simple, cheap and single Easter decoration.April 2012 024April 2012 028April 2012 041April 2012 053April 2012 058Do you get in to decorating for all of the holidays?  Do you do it for yourself or your kids?  Even though I don’t make a big deal out of the holiday, I sure do enjoy the extra day off.  It feels like Friday around here today!diana

And I reallyyyyyy wish we had off tomorrow, but we don’t. Public accounting firms don’t close for many holidays hahaha.

Have a great {long} weekend! And Happy Easter! :)

This made me laugh! You are so funny. We HAVE a little girl and don’t decorate for any holiday but Christmas and Halloween. It may be that we just haven’t accumulated decorations yet–but we DO have some Jelly Beans. Starburst Sour Jelly Beans. They are Chris’s favorite and are only sold at certain stores this time of year which means we have 10 bags of them. TEN. Oh goodness.

No Easter decorations at my house, either.
I brought Spring back into my house (which essentially means Christmas decorations were put away), and bought over a dozen eggs to “get-creative” for Easter, and nothing has been done. Nothing.
    Oh well… maybe next year?
