Coffee Pot Love

24 April 2012 7 Comments

My Christmas wish list (3 years ago) included a Cuisinart coffee maker with a hot water system.  Unfortunately every store that carried it at the time was either sold out, back ordered or had discontinued it.  And for the longest time I couldn’t find it anywhere.  Then a few months ago I spotted in in Lowes.  But  I couldn’t bring myself to part with a hundred and twenty five of my hard earned dollar bills (That’s why I put it on the Christmas list.  Spending other people’s money is way easier and more fun than spending your own.) while I had a perfectly functioning – albeit not as fancy – coffee maker at home.  I figured I will just wait until my current pot breaks or my dream pot goes on sale.  Up until Saturday I hadn’t seen a discount on the Cuisinart and my cheap Black & Decker was, much to my dismay, still working wonderfully.  Then I went to Costco.  There it was.  The Cuisinart with hot water system for $89.99.  MINE.  I brought it home and set it up immediately.  And so far, I love it.  I love the way it looks.  I love that I don’t have to drag my kettle out for a cup of instant coffee, tea or hot chocolate and I love that I can use both the coffee maker side and the hot water system at the same time, I can set the temperature I like and I can schedule it to turn off anywhere from 2 to 4 hours after my brew.  Ninety bucks well spent!April 2012 033April 2012 040April 2012 026April 2012 043April 2012 045Doesn’t that look better than my little Black & Decker?  Do any of you have a kitchen appliance that you absolutely love?  One that you waited 3 years for?

Haha! I was going to say my wine bottle opener too – silly Whitney! But maybe I should just take up coffee drinking instead?!

    Ooooh, very fancy!

I have a Tassimo Brew Bot (like a Keurig but with much less coffee disks) and it’s wonderful.
