A Second House To Decorate? Ok!
My sister just bought a new house! It’s under an hour away from me and it needs loads of work. She’s not exactly into interior décor and has basically given me the go ahead to choose colours and finishes for her her – under two circumstances – they fit within her budget and she gets veto power. Fair enough. I know you guys, you want to see pictures don’t you? Here are a few of the interior. I told you it needs loads of work. You’ll agree I’m sure.
I told you it needed work. It has all of the normal issues that come with foreclosures. It’s dirty and it’s been neglected. But it’s a really charming house. It has all of the original doors and hardware, extra wide baseboards and cast iron vents. The kitchen and baths needs a complete overhaul, the hardwood needs to be refinished and there are hours of wallpaper stripping in our future. I’m excited to help her transform this house into a home she can enjoy. Oh yeah, and helping her means she HAS to help me! It’s a win-win.

I wonder if it will be easier to decorate someone else’s house? I’m too indecisive in my own house…

I don’t know though…that rust carpet is pretty great
I’m thinking it will probably be easier to decorate her house than my own. I have more ideas for her place than my own and she just closed a few days ago. Haha.
Isn’t that carpet beautiful? Ha. Thankfully there is hardwood hiding under there! And hopefully in the entry way as well – fingers crossed.

Um…why are the toilets taped shut with notes on them? I want to get closer to read them. I think. Maybe I don’t, on second thought.
I think it would be really fun to decorate someone else’s space–you can do all the things you admire in others’ homes that you couldn’t live with in your own!
