Coffee Station. Coffee Photo. Makes Sense.

27 August 2012 17 Comments

Well,  my vacation is over.  I could cry.  I loved being at home with the puppy all week, working on the house, sneaking away to the woods for a few days with family and dressing in colour – I have to wear all black to work in case that didn’t make sense to any of you.  During my week off I had a list of things I wanted to accomplish.  There are still a few items waiting for a strikethrough.  But I did make it out to get a few of my pictures printed.  I took the advice of my Mom and Kelly @ Corner Of Main and hung one of my coffee photos in the kitchen.  I love it.  And although I’m not completely sold on the frame (it’s one that I had kicking around), having a framed photo hung, makes things look a little bit more permanent and grounded on that side of the room.  Check it out.Coffee Print 1Coffee Print 2Coffee Print 3Coffee Print 4Coffee Print 6Coffee Print 5I’m thinking the frame should be a little bit more rustic and perhaps a bit bigger.  For now I don’t mind the way it looks but I may eventually change it out – maybe with something I DIY.  I actually printed quite a number of pictures that I will share with you a little later in the week.  Along with, my IKEA purchases (the 3 tier stand in the first photo is one of them), my fall front porch spruce up and my entry way plans.  It’s going to be a busy week on the blog!  Stay tuned!diana

I love it! I just used Rub N Buff to update some frames. Maybe they have a color that would work for the look you’re going for? Vacations ending are always tough. After 5 days off, slipping into heels this morning was sad, sad, sad.

I agree completely Kate! It was the heels that killed me today too! I miss my flip flops! I will check out Rub N Buff. I’m hoping to achieve a bit more of an aged look. That frame just looks too shiny!

Yay! It looks awesome =) Thanks for the shout out!
And I had to laugh at your dressing in color comment…same thing happens at my office, and when I hung out with some ladies from work a few weeks ago, it was so nice to see everyone in color ;)

Thanks for the idea Kelly! I really like the way it looks in the kitchen. Whenever I see my co workers in colour I’m always shocked at how healthy and happy they look! Isn’t that sad?

Thank You Kristen! Maybe I will leave it just as it is. Sometimes it’s hard to just walk away isn’t it?

the print is awesome in the coffee space, i love it!! i actually like the frame, but i could definitely see a large thick framed rustic weather-worn wood one too!

I’m glad you like it Lyndsay! That is what I was originally thinking for the frame too but a few have said they like the one I hung. And let’s face it – it’s a lot easier to just leave that one there than switch it out! Did I mention I’m lazy?
