My “I Can’t Wait For Fall” Front Porch
While I was on vacation last week I started transitioning my front porch from summer to fall. I’m not going to lie, as I took the pictures today I considered breaking to take a cool down swim. It’s way too hot to be decorating with pine cones. And while I love fall just as much as everyone else, I’m feeling like this porch is a little bit premature. So, I resisted the urge to drive down to the corner and pick up a pumpkin. I will wait and add the gourds when my bathing suit is put away. Here is my in-between porch. My, “why is it so damn hot?” porch. My maybe if I decorate with pinecones and twine summer will get to steppin’ porch. My “I can’t wait for fall” porch. Check it out.
So there you have it. An in between seasons porch. I’ll be sure to update you when the weather cools down and I allow myself to add a few pumpkins and perhaps a cornstalk or two. What do you guys think? Does September mark the beginning of fall for you or does the beginning of the season have more to do with the temperature than the date?
I’m just as excited as you are to break out the mums and pumpkins! Unfortunately, it will be another month or two here

It looks really great! I decided to decorate for fall last night, and ended up breaking one of my picture frames glass. It was summers way of telling me to stop, but I really don’t want to listen.
I really like the lantern with the pine cones, every time i see a lantern in a store I want to buy it…I just need to do it!
I had to laugh when you said you need to wait till the swimsuit is put away before you bring out the pumpkins. That’s probably a good idea, but I don’t know if I can wait!

Love it! I struggle with when fall “begins” for me too. I always want it to be right when September hits…but when the temps climb into the 90’s it’s hard to think pumpkin spice and falling leaves. Grrrr.
