Entry Way Progress You Can See!

4 September 2012 19 Comments

We’re finally starting to make progress you can see in our entry way!  We have two coats of paint on the walls (most of them), three of four door frames have been slathered with white semi-gloss and we finally got rid of those hideous wall sconces.  Take a peek…Entry Way Progress 1Entry Way Progress 2Entry Way Progress 3
Don’t those angles look great?  Now, let’s be honest here, if I spin the camera around you’ll see that above the stairs is still pointing and laughing at us!Entry Way Progress 4
But, a certain someone is at home for the week and has promised me he will start to tackle this portion of the paper removal.  Hopefully he will remove that light fixture while he’s up there!  Clearly we still have a pretty long list of to-do’s, but things are definitely starting to look a little bit better around here.  I’m hoping to have the rest of the trim (front door frame and baseboards) painted by Friday so that I can focus on painting above the stairs and the floor over the weekend.  Now you know how I spent my Labour Day weekend.  How did you spend yours?diana

Looks good! What color paint did you use? I’m on the fence about what color to paint the downstairs, this totally has me leaning towards gray.

Hey Elisa! It is Soulful Gray by Valspar. I love this colour. It’s a nice greige. Hope that helps!

It’s looking great! I love the gray walls and white trim.

And don’t let that corner discourage you, just face the other direction. Even if you have to walk backwards :)

Haha Brandi! I’ve been spending an awful lot of time admiring my work with my back to that wall!
