A Picture Is Worth 4000 Words: Fall Photo

23 October 2012 18 Comments

I’m taking advantage of fall.  I’m spending as much time as I can outside, while the temperature is as beautiful as the view.  Before you know it we will be snow covered here in Ontario, and while I love the way freshly fallen snow looks, I don’t love the below (well, well, well below) freezing temperatures that come with it.  This weekend we took a beautiful walk with the dogs and I capture a few fall images.  Here is my favourite.  I’ve edited it four different ways and of course (if you read often you know I’m the worst for this) I can’t decide which one I like the best.  What do you guys think?  You all have better taste than I do anyway.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABarn Edit 2 WMBarn Edit 3 WMOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt’s amazing how the mood of the shot can change so drastically with the edit.  The black and white one almost seems creepy, while the one below it looks like it’s out of a dream.  Which one are you digging?diana

I can’t hardly decide! But I think…. the last one. Seems dreamy.

Hey Amy! I’m really loving the last one too. I’m thinking I could pair it with an image in my foggy photography post and hang them together.

The first photo looks super vintage. I like that.

I am so glad we’re actually having a Fall this year! Lately it seemed to go right from summer to winter.

Hey Antonella, I completely agree! I felt sooooo cheated last year. This year is making up for it!

Gorgeous photos! I love the second & fourth ones, but they are all great. You could so do an etsy shop on canvas prints!

I love the first one {the trees just look so cool}…and then I also love the third. It’s such a moody picture. Your photography is the best! :)

  • Girl (author) said:

Thanks Michelle! The 2nd one is the most popular with the family too!

Thank you Gabbi! I like the third one too. Depending on my mood the third one seems creepy sometimes and almost sad others. So I guess you’re right, it’s a very moody picture. Or maybe I’m the moody one. Haha.
