It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas No. 9–Literally.
Thanks for joining me for the ninth post in my It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas series. If you’ve missed any along the way, feel free to catch up here!
We finally got a healthy dose of winter yesterday! Snow mixed with freezing rain isn’t my idea of a good time if I have to be on the roads – yesterday I didn’t. I was able to putter around my back yard and snap pictures all day. There is something so beautiful about foliage trapped under ice isn’t there? Here are a few of my favourite shots. While I edited these, I listened to Christmas music and sipped English Toffee cappuccino! It’s in the air. The holidays are here! I’m thinking these may end up being my card images this year – I should probably hop to that!![]()

It doesn’t truly feel like Christmas for me, until ice makes everything sparkle and a dusting of snow covers the ground. I don’t think I could ever live in a climate that didn’t have snow for Christmas. But I guess that’s only because I’m used to Canadian weather. Do you love or hate the snow? Does it usually snow where you live over the holiday season?![]()

Oh my gosh! these photos are gorgeous!
GORGEOUS photos! I love looking around after an ice storm- so pretty! I’m totally with you on the snow for Christmas thing. I still don’t quite feel in the spirit because we haven’t got a good layer of snow. What area in Canada are you from- I haven’t asked that yet.
Seriously…you are the most amazing photographer! I always love your images!
And I love the snow, and cozy feeling it creates for the holidays…but I only like it when I’m home and don’t need to be on the roads {aka – work is cancelled or it’s vacation time}, andddddd when it’s not enough to make the power go out. Because Lord knows, I’ve had enough of the power going out!
Jealous! It was 70+ degrees here in VA yesterday and I just want some Christmas time weather!
So jealous. We’ve had the tiniest of a dusting and that’s it. Pretty weird for Iowa. At least we have 2 weeks left. Fingers crossed.
Your photos are gorgeous!
Thank you everybody!
Christine, We are in Ottawa! Not too far from you guys!
