House Tour: Entry Way
Here we go. The first of many house tour posts. I figure the best place to start is at the beginning. So let me take you on a quick trip around our new entry way.
There are a few things I love about this room. I love the size of it. There is plenty of space for more than one person to maneuver coats on comfortably without banging hands on walls or being backed up in a corner struggling with boots. I love the curved staircase. Although it’s a throw back to the 80’s, I think we can make it a unique and beautiful feature of the home. And I love the closet space. There is enough space here to store outerwear and footwear for all seasons. The fact that coats and boots won’t have to be transferred from the basement or a storage space to the closet as we change seasons is a bonus for me. Call me lazy. It wouldn’t be the first time.
However, it’s not all rainbows and butterflies over here. There are plenty of things I can’t stand about this space. The wallpaper is probably the most obvious. It’s pink, it’s striped and there is a lot of it. The floor is beige, brown and blue linoleum and the light fixtures are terribly ugly. Thankfully all of these things can be fixed fairly easily. Why don’t I let the pictures do the talking.
The bones are good but the hair and makeup need work. Stay tuned for many more house tour posts over the next few days.

Wow…that is definitely all 80’s!!! But like you said, all of the fixes are cosmetic, and there are definitely great bones there. It is so spacious and I’m totally jealous of such a large closet! Our hall closet is tinyyyy, but we have a huge closet in the basement that helps make up for it…especially since that’ll be the closet we pass by as we come in from the garage.
Can’t wait to see the transformation!
