House Tour: Ensuite Bath

29 November 2011 10 Comments

Well, it seems appropriate to follow yesterday’s master bedroom post with a spin around the ensuite bath.  I say spin because that’s pretty much all you can do in there.

Closet 3

It’s small.  It’s ugly.  It’s unpleasant.  See for yourself.

The only thing worth saving here is the vanity.  Although the granite the previous home owner selected isn’t my first choice, it’s in perfectly good condition, and like I’ve said before – we’re broke.  We may not be able to make it work in this particular bathroom, but fear not, it will find a forever home somewhere.

I realize that I didn’t get a good shot of the stand up shower in the corner.  You can picture it I’m sure – builders standard, old, dirty.  So with the exception of the vanity, everything must go.  And we must find more space.  We’ve got a few ideas and we’ll be sure to fill you in on all the details once the work gets started.

How exciting you have a master bath though! I’m sure it’ll look awesome once you get to work on it!! I like how the window is high . . . ours is too low and i’m always nervous a peeping tom is going to be peering in!

That’s a really good point Regan! I never really realized how high the window was. And you’re right. We’re excited that we have a master bath and that plumbing is already in place. It just needs a little love. Thanks so much for dropping in on us.

The fact that plumbing is in place, is definitely great! We were the crazy people that needed plumbing run to the other side of the house and we had to pull out heating ducts to make it work. Having an ensuite is totally worth it though haha.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the house…keep the posts coming! :)
