House Tour: Living Room
The living room in our house is my favourite room. It’s got a floor to ceiling fireplace, a walkout to the back yard and plenty of space. There is so much potential in this room it makes my head spin.
Of course right now it’s looking a little dull. The blue carpet sucks the light out of the room. The ceiling and fan are both low and outdated. The fireplace was bricked with exterior bricks, and in my opinion they’re too dark for the room. But like the foyer, this room has good bones. I can work with this. Check it out.
I’m picturing the fireplace painted crisp white. In my head it looks fantastic. You guys agree with me right? Help me convince boy it’s the right thing to do.

That fireplace would look great painted white!! Do you know if there is hardwood underneath the carpeting? I agree with you – that room has great bones

Sadly there is no hardwood under the carpet. Believe me, we checked almost right away.

For wall colour I’m thinking a greige colour. They are blue right now, which I can’t stand. And yes, our ceilings are….unique.
