About Boy + Girl

We’re Boy + Girl.

Oh, + Dog.

We’re an early 30’s couple living in Canada.

And we’re putting our best amateur design foot forward, in an attempt to transform our first home.

We Bought.  We’re Broke.  We’re Renovating.

We’re overhauling our 1980’s bungalow on a budget.

Follow along for creative design solutions and affordable fixes.

If you stick it out with us, you’ll be sure to witness domestic design disputes, home renovation debacles and be subjected to an abundance of + Dog pictures.

We’re basically just sharing our lives with you, whether you like it or not!

We’re ready to get started.  We hope you’ll join us.  We could use the help.

Just came across your site and I think I’m going to really like it – we moved into a 1980s house that needs TONS of updating as well. And we’re on a budget too! Makes it frustrating and fun all at the same time. Can’t wait to follow along!

Hi Katie! Glad to have you follow along! Funny, I just took a browse through your site yesterday! And yes, I totally agree. Things would be much easier if we had unlimited funds but you’re right. Having to get creative makes things way more fun!

Just found your site, and can’t wait to see what projects you have in store! My husband and I also recently became home owners of a 1950s cape with “potential” and I have been chronicling all of our DIYs… Tiring, but totally satisfying as I’m sure you can imagine!

Keep up the great work, and looking forward to following your blog!
